The Millennium Challenge Corporation is an innovative and independent U.S. foreign aid agency that is helping lead the fight against global poverty. Their goal is to deliver smart U.S. foreign assistance by focusing on good policies, country ownership and results.
Information required to ensure the best decisions were made in providing foreign assistance was fragmented throughout the enterprise. Data could not be accessed and information was not organized, resulting in low user adoption and high organizational frustration.
TCG supported MCC in the development, operation, and sustainment of their IT software and systems. In particular, we oversaw the redevelopment of MCC’s enterprise grants management system and SharePoint intranet. Using a tailored agile methodology, we enabled more timely data delivery to business users and grantees across the world.
The TCG solution consolidated information, enhanced transparency, and improved usability throughout the process. The result was reduced costs and better decision-making. Decisions that used to take months now took only weeks. And the quality of the decisions was better, ultimately fulfilling the mission of MCC. The U.S. taxpayers saved $25 million.
