TCG is an award-winning Government technology solutions provider. In anticipation of an upcoming award, we are seeking a Cloud Architect to join our team.

US Citizenship and the ability to pass and maintain a Federal government (Public Trust) clearance is required for this position.

Although this position is currently a full-time telecommuting position, it will eventually require on-site work. We will continue to put our employee’s health and safety first with appropriate social distancing and sanitation guidelines when our employees will need to report on site. To the greatest extent possible, we advocate for continued telework. In addition, to support the safety of our current and prospective employees our interview process is fully remote and is conducted via phone and video interviews.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Studies and analyzes complex system requirements
  • Designs and deploys and manages dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on the Cloud
  • Selects appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements
  • Migrates complex, multi-tier applications on Cloud Platforms
  • Designs and deploys enterprise-wide scalable operations on Cloud Platforms
  • Implements cost-control strategies

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • AWS or Azure certification
  • Development experience using RESTful APIs, SpringBoot, horizontal scalability, micro
  • Experience in working with container deployment and orchestration technologies at scale with strong knowledge of the fundamentals to include service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, load balancing
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including in developing services on AWS
  • Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI
  • Experience with VMware Products, like VMware Cloud on AWS, vSphere, vSAN, NSX
  • Experience in implementing software defined networking and cloud networking like VPCs, VPN, IP-Sec Tunnels, and implementing networking in virtualized environments
  • Experience with L2/L3 Networking protocols, Routing Protocol integration (OSPF, BGP, Multicast), MPLS, Security concepts (IKE, IPSeC)
  • Experience in configuration or management of network switches

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with VMware Products like NSX, Velocloud is strongly preferred
  • Experience in automating, orchestrating and running large scale IaaS systems is a plus

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
