TCG is an award-winning Government technology solutions provider. We are seeking a Junior Developer to join our team for development of a high-profile application for a highly visible government agency.

US Citizenship and the ability to pass and maintain a Federal government (Public Trust) clearance is required for this position.

Although this is a telecommuting position, candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With some supervision and assistance, design, develop, test, and maintain multiple web-based applications
  • Maintain unit tests at a high level of code coverage
  • Proactively communicate both verbally and in writing the status of development activities to the senior team members
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies in a wide variety of disciplines

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Experience with custom built and open-source applications
  • Experience with database and application programming interface (API)
  • Experience with Angular (Typescript) and Python, JavaScript, AWS, and PostgreSQL database

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Django
  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
