TCG is an award-winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government. We are seeking a Solutions Architect, who resides in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, to join our team on a high profile project at a Federal agency.

US Citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance check are required for this position.

Although this position is currently a full-time telecommuting position, it will eventually require on-site work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and establish system information requirements for use in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems
  • Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
  • Ensure these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and ISO reference models, and profiles of standards — such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model — as they apply to the implementation and specification of information management solution of the application platform, across the Application Program Interface (API), and the external environment/software application
  • Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Agency enterprise architecture and applicable reference models
  • Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action
  • Develop EA (Enterprise Architecture) Compliance Process Definition
  • Support agency Enterprise Architecture Governance Framework compliance through participation in IPT’s (Integrated Project Teams) and TRB’s (Technical Review Board) by reviewing the solution delivery lifecycle project artifacts
  • Support requests for information
  • Develop, maintain EA execution policies, processes, procedures, metrics, and job aids like checklists and user guides
  • Develop, maintain and mature EA Repository by collaborating with stakeholders including the Cyber security and privacy, IT operations, project teams, vendors, other federal agency contacts

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with Systems Architecture
  • Experience working with open systems architectures
  • Experience supervising Systems Engineering teams for high performance
  • Experience in modeling and graphic representations
  • Experience with current and emerging technologies across multiple domains including network, database, endpoint, virtual computing, and cloud computing
  • Experience with technical designs, frameworks, and implementations
  • Experience with information technology and enterprise architecture best practices
  • Experience with project management, specifically managing multiple, concurrent projects
  • Experience enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with NIST-53 Cyber Security Standards, Open Systems Interconnection (OSI), ISO reference models, and/or Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment reference model.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments
  • AWS certification

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related preferred)
