We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Node.JS) to join our project team at a major Federal agency to help design, develop, and implement solutions in anticipation of an upcoming award.

U.S. citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

The selected candidate will ideally live within commuting distance of Washington, D.C. as there may be occasional onsite work. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with web application development
  • Experience with Node.js
  • Experience with Angular
  • Experience with AWS
  • Solid understanding of HTML markup and CSS
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript and the jQuery framework
  • Experience working with loosely-defined requirements
  • Good organization skills and ability to manage a dynamic workload
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute quickly to project requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize efforts in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver working code in an Agile development environment
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity and a customer service-oriented personality
  • Excellent grammar and spelling in all written communication
  • Excellent oral communication

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Visual FoxPro

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree is required
