TCG Enters the ICIC Inner City 100 Hall of Fame

Washington, DC: At an award ceremony last night, TCG was recognized by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) as the 70th fastest-growing inner city company in the United States. This is TCG’s eighth time receiving this award, marking the company’s entry into ICIC’s Hall of Fame.

The Inner City 100 program recognizes successful inner city companies and their CEOs as role models for entrepreneurship, innovative business practices, and job creation in America’s urban communities. The award winners are chosen based on their growth in revenue over a 5-year period. TCG experienced increases over the past five years of 112% increase in revenue an144% in staff, 95% of whom live in the DC Metropolitan Area.

In 2005, TCG established its headquarters in the LeDroit neighborhood in Northwest DC. TCG President Daniel Turner, who strongly believes in being a good corporate citizen and a good employer, has watched the community grow and improve since establishing the firm. The company is now surrounded by a variety of eateries, the population is more diverse, and property values have increased substantially as business owners revitalize the area. TCG will soon relocate its corporate headquarters to D.C.’s Shepherd Park neighborhood, revitalizing a former hardware store. Very close to the former site of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the neighborhood has a developing commercial and superbly complements TCG’s ‘Positively Distinct’ culture.
