WASHINGTON, DC — It’s safe to say that TCG is happy to be ISO 27001 certified. The certification is evidence that TCG meets the highest standard for information security management and makes continuous improvements in our internal controls.
ISO 27001 sets requirements for an information security management system (ISMS) and creates standards for the secure management of financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to companies by third parties.
“With our ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 20000–1 certifications, our clients can feel confident that TCG delivers top‐notch IT services through a secure infrastructure to properly manage our federal programs,” said TCG Chief Technology Officer Dr. Robert Buccigrossi.
The audit and certification were conducted by Intertek, a third‐party organization that provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification solutions. TCG’s ISO 27001 certification is valid from April 2019 to April 2022.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non‐governmental international organization and the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards that support innovation and solutions to global challenges. ISO is made up of the national standards bodies of 163 member countries working in partnership with international organizations, governments, industry, business, and consumer representatives. The organization has published more than 19,500 international standards covering nearly every industry — from technology to food safety to agriculture and healthcare. ISO certifications give world‐class specifications for products, services, and systems to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
