ICIC puts TCG in the Hall of Fame. When do we get our star outside Grauman’s Theater?
WASHINGTON, DC—TCG is proud to be named to the Inner City 100 list for the 10th time. The award is given by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and recognizes the fastest-growing companies in America’s inner cities. TCG is ranked 84th out of 100 companies on the list, which is published by Fortune magazine.
The Inner City 100 program celebrates companies for their growth and for the positive impact they have in their communities, providing an example of how businesses can be successful and thrive in inner cities. The award winners are chosen based on their growth in revenue over a 5‑year period. In that time, TCG’s revenue grew by 57% and staff increased by approximately 84%.
“In a perfect world, you wouldn’t need an award to provide examples of how businesses can grow and thrive in our urban communities,” said Daniel Turner, President of TCG. “That should be obvious—as it is for us and our fellow honorees. However, the world is clearly not perfect, and we’re thrilled and honored to play a small role in helping others see how successful businesses and communities can, together, grow and create a more vibrant and vital city.”
As a Certified B Corp, TCG is working to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy that produces positive outcomes for our community and stakeholders — that is, the company is working to create that perfect world so Daniel doesn’t have to note time after time that the world is imperfect. Providing a positive example of entrepreneurship, innovative business practices, and job creation has been and will continue to be an important part of that mission.
